02.02.2005 SAMSUNG EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS


In the year 2005, the world leader in the area of information technologies – SAMSUNG Electronics – announces the launching of two educational programs:

1. Genius Scholarship Program at the Seoul National University (GSP-SNU Program) (Samsung Engineering Program) for the Master of Sciences (M.Sc.) Degree in Electronics and Computer Science

2. Genius Scholarship Program at the Sungkyunkwan University (GSP-SKK Program) (Samsung MBA Program) for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree

1. GENIUS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM AT SEOUL NATIONAL UNIVERSITY (MASTER OF SCIENCE PROGRAM)

SAMSUNG Electronics announces the launching of the Genius Scholarship Program at the Seoul National University (GSP-SNU Program) for receiving the Master of Sciences Degree. This program is oriented toward brilliant students majoring in computer science, engineering, physics, and mathematics.
The GSP-SNU Program is meant for students willing to receive the Master of Sciences Degree in Electronics and Computer Science. The education is conducted for 2 years at The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the Seoul National University.
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science has six departments: 1) Information, Telecommunication, and Radio Science, 2) Control, Instrumentation, and Automation, 3) Semiconductor Devices and Integrated Circuits 4) Computer and Very Large Scale Integration Systems, 5) Electrophysics and Lasers, as well as 6) Electric Energy Systems.
Samsung Electronics covers all educational expenses including the tuition, admission, and registration fees for the student. Furthermore, the student receives a money allowance (around USD 800 per month). After completing the M.Sc. course and receiving the M.Sc. degree, the student is provided with a unique opportunity to work at Samsung Electronics in South Korea for 2 years. After finishing the two-year work, the applicant can extend the contract with Samsung Electronics under mutual agreement. By virtue of the GSP-SNU Program, Samsung Electronics is planning to develop successful candidates into its core members.

2. GENIUS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM AT SUNGKYUNKWAN UNIVERSITY (MBA PROGRAM) The world leader in the area of information technologies ─ the SAMSUNG Group ─ announces the launching of a new MBA Program: the Genius Scholarship Program at the Sungkyunkwan University (GSP-SKK Program).

The goal of this program is to develop the future Samsung leaders. The MBA course is taught at the Samsung Graduate School of Business (GSB) of the SKK University. The Samsung GSB is a business school newly founded by the in the strategic alliance with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management. As a result, the students are provided with a unique opportunity to study at the MIT Sloan School of Management for one semester (6 months).

The SAMSUNG Group pays for all educational expenses includ¬ing the tuition, admission, and registration fees for the students. Moreover, each GSP-SKK member is granted scholarship in the amount of around USD 800 per month. After completing the MBA course and receiving the MBA Degree, the GSP-SKK Program’s member is provided with an opportunity to work at Samsung in South Korea for 2 years and then in Russia for next 2 years.
By means of the GSP-SKK Program, the Samsung Group is planning to develop successful candidates as its core members.

Please, check to see that your resume contains your TOEFL score, GMAT score, Grade Point Average (GPA). Before sending your resume, please, attach to it the following scanned documents:

If you do not have the GMAT or TOEFL Certificates, you may also apply for the Samsung MBA Program. In this case, we shall wait for you to bring us the GMAT or TOEFL Certificates before August 01, 2005.
